Deleting empty undeleted files

Post by mdruiter »

After I undeleted an empty (0 bytes) file using the plugin, the resulting file cannot be deleted again. The message I get is:

Error Deleting File
Name: P:\...\file.txt
Error: (32) The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

It does not work until I close Salamander. Apparently the plugin keeps such a file open?

Can you rename the folder where the file is?

This seems, that the plugin has setted the working directory into the directory, so you're not able to delete files and/or folders.

Maybe the author of the plugin will say more.

Process Explorer http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/P ... lorer.html can explain what program lock the file.

I prepare file with length 0 bytes. I delete it (without recycle bin). Then I restore it with undelete plugin to different partition and really, restored file was locked. But not with the plugin (I unload the plugin from the memory), but with SALAMAND.exe as an handle.

Yes, cause' the plugin is loaded by SS.

I think Altap should fix this. ;)

It was problem of plugin or Salamander itself?
