Changing Hard Coded Link "Documents"

Post by vld »

Is there a way to change where the link Documents points to? My Documents reside on drive D vs C and would like to open that specific folder.

On which operating system? AFAIK Salamander takes this location from registry. Its not hardcoded.
Verify that this registry key points to your location:

Code: Select all

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders

 Value Name: Personal
 Value Type: REG_SZ
 Value Data: path

You should not modify the registry key directly, though. Rather use the Path tab on the documents folder's property dialog.

Appears you must do that from within Windows Explorer (as "the magic path" <Target> does not display when the folder Properties is opened from within Salamander).
