Feature Request:
In the "View" option "Hex" (Ctrl+H) of the Internal Viewer (F3) the left (hex) side should not change by choosing a "Convert" option.
Reason:
For fast scrolling I have to choose the the OEM/DOS-font "Terminal" 9 pt with the "Convert" option "ANSI -OEM" to see the German characters ...

Re: File comparator for .xml
You are right. I looked at it with F4 of Salamander and there were no linefeeds to be seen.

Re: File comparator for .xml
With the 2 German language xml-files in the attached zip-file (from 2 old versions of PDF-XChange Viewer) the File Comparator plugin works fine, although there are no linefeeds in it.
But the internal file viewer of Salamander 2.53 beta 1 shows wrong German signs (ÄÖÜäöüß) and the Internet Explorer ...

Re: File comparator for .xml
Comparing your 2 files with "Show only Differences" shows also lines with no differences.
Switching to "Horizontal View" does not refresh the whole display (leftovers of linenumbers).
Also other xml-files have no linefeeds (like your files have), see the attachment meta-xml.zip.

Re: File comparator for .xml
I got "The extension xml is not allowed." when trying to upload an .xml-file. So I zipped it.

File comparator for .xml
F3 in Altap Salamander 2.53 beta 1 shows the content of .xml-files in a good way (colored, using the Internet Explorer).
Alt-F3 can show the file-content with Wrap (Ctrl+W).
But the Plugin "File Comparator" shows the content of .xml-files only with line 1 (short header) and a very long line 2 ...

Of courseJan Patera wrote:Can I ask you (and all the other enthusiastic AS users around) to test support for accented characters in ZIP archives created by other (non-AS) tools in the upcoming AS 2.53 beta 2 (so that it gets well tested before the official release 2.53)?

Re: Bug: moved directory on network drive has new date
Probably the problem is caused by a RAID-drive.
Now I found a solution:
I access the RAID-network-drive twice, with different drive letters N: and U:,
then moving from N: to U: is slower (like copy), but the option "Preserve dates and times of the directories" works

Re: Bug: moved directory on network drive has new date
I have the same effect if I use the command "move" in the command line, and also on a second network drive which is located in an other city.
I will ask our admin for details of the network drives.

Please add "Owner" under "Available Columns"
If I want to see the "Owners" of files as a column in a filelist then I still have to use the Windows Explorer.
Could you please add the option "Owner" as selectable under "Available Columns" (of "Options / Configuration... / Views")?

Re: Bug: moved directory on network drive has new date
\\SDEFILA02004.fil.de.itgr.net is the name of the server, RF-UnitISFIL is the name to reach a certain directory on this server.
If I create something similar on my PC (a directory which can be accessed by U:) then F6 move works fine inside U:

Re: Bug: moved directory on network drive has new date
N: ist not a physical drive (like C:), but the directory "\\SDEFILA02004.fil.de.itgr.net\RF-UnitISFIL" on a physical drive (by this the total path can be longer than 255 characters).
