I withraw my remark and it should be ereased from the forum. I'm also using ASAP Utilities in Excel. This is the plug-in that causes the problem. I'm sorry to have confused ALTAP with ASAP. I think Salamander is an excelent software. I use it daily since several years. Sorry for the confusion.

When trying to customize the quick access toolbar by going into the customize menu and selcting "more commands"-> "select command" -> "all commands" excel hangs with a VBA failure message. I enclose screenshots with correct filenames (using FileZilla) and filnames with corrupted characters (using Slamander FTP). Conditions and libraries are identical. It's just different FTP clients.
