Beta update notification

Hello, I'm using Servant Salamander 2.54 and as of late I'm being "bugged" by a beta notification release, which I'm unable to disable (the notification, that is). Whatever I configure (followed by hitting Save configuration), I get the notification on restarting the program. I've searched the forum, but I seem to be the only one having this problem, or does the rest simply upgrade to the beta version?

I have fixed one bug recently which is probably connected with this problem. It was in situation when user turned off Auto-saving configuration. Then CheckVer window opens, you change CheckVer configuration, and when you close CheckVer window, plugin is automatically unloaded but because of turned off Auto-save-configuration, it just ignores your changes and unloads plugin. Then you go to menu and manually save configuration, but CheckVer plugin is already unloaded and your configuration lost, so nothing is changed.

Solution: start Salamander, close CheckVer window, and then go to menu Plugins / Check Version / Check for New Version, click Check Now button, click on beta link with right mouse button, choose Filter this version, close Check Version window, save configuration (menu Options / Save Configuration or go to menu Plugins / Plugins Manager, find Check Version, and click Unload, it will ask for saving plugin's configuration, answer Yes).
