Dear Sirs,

I have downloaded your evaluation copy of Salamander 2.51, but I have hit a serious problem.

I have XP Professional Greek (SP3) installed and as I also speak German I do have some files with German names including Umlaute. While I do not have any Problems in the standard Microsoft Explorer, Altap not only shows those files wrong (e.g. u umlaut is shown as a simple u, or the sharp s is shown as a question mark) it can also not handle those filenames for copying a file or entering a directory with special German Characters. Strangely it is possible to rename such a file/directory, and when you change the problematic u umlaut with a standard u the file is accessible again. Is it possible that you are working on this problem? should I wait for the new 2.52 version?

Btw, I saw the same problem with French accented filenames.

The problem is missing support for Unicode file names, which is planned to be implemented. In the meantime, read these instructions, maybe it'll help you:
