A personal favourite of mine is Notepad++, same thing as scite I guess.

Same underlaying engine, but n++ is not available as standalone-exe, but n++ comes with much much more possibilities - thus I switched from SciTE to n++

Try these editors: Small (540KB), fast and free text editor even with syntax highlighting for HTML and other common languages: Notepad2. It is ideal replacement for Notepad. For big projects I can recomend free PSPad.
