Remember folder's view settings

Hello,

I'd like to see the MS Windows Explorer's "Remember each folder's view settings" option implemented in Salamander:

MS Windows Explorer menu -> Tools -> Folder Options ->
-> View -> Advanced Settings:

[x] Remember each folder's view settings

so that different folders can be sorted using different column in detailed view (file name, date/time, size, ...).

I use this feature in Windows Explorer to sort folders containing log/backup files by date/time in descending order to see the most recent logs/backups first / at top, while all other folders are sorted by file name in ascending order (default).

Thank you.

Or at least when the tabbed folder interface comes, the tabs themselves should remember sorts and filters.

I find this feature of explorer annoying.

One way I could think of living with was to have a way to make the current sort/pannel display setting permanent for the current folder. I'd suggest to store this information in a file in the folder (similar to (or even using)) desktop.ini. This way, when moving the folder, it's settings would automatically follow.

With custom colums, a way of remembering the display mode most likely will be indispensible.
