TortoiseSVN icons overlays disapear

Post by anon »

All icons overlays dissapear sometime. Salamander restart didn't help. I'm using the latest version of TortoiseSVN.
PS. Interesting fact. If I kill the process tsvncache.exe and restart salamander - it's ok again :(

Are you using nightly build of TortoiseSVN?

What's your Windows version (including 32-bit or 64-bit)?

Does somebody have the same problem with icon overlays?

Me too. But when this happend, the was no application that shown overlay icons.
From my looking for problem source it's ball on TortoiseSVN's part.

Instead of killing tsvncache please try to open Windows Explorer and check if overlay icons are displayed there. Please let us know.

I face the problem on both my work and home computers. I'll try to open explorer next time.

XPiS, the first post from anon is from you? If no, could you please try to restart Salamander (do not kill the tsvncache.exe process) when this problem occurs?

Could you please test the nightly build of Tortoise SVN?

Hello, Jan Rysavy

The first post is mine.
Sorry for my mistake - the windows explorer fails as well. Restarting salamander or explorer doesn't help. Killing tsvncache helps.

I'll try the latest builds.

Tortoise Overlays

Post by Francisj »

I have a different slant on this issue. I use multiple Wiondows profies at different clients, but the Tortoise overlays only display under the account where I installed Altap Salamander (they are still visible in Windows Explorer, and I'm using the latest nightly build of Tortoise).

Hi, it is probably another problem, could you please copy&paste your post to new thread? (Forum Rules, paragraph 2 and 4)
