the current F2/renaming box? One other button may be introduced
for this purpose.

I'd done Search > "rename" and read some of the posts by
KNUT, Abterix, etc... really commendatory!]
What I'd like is a full-fledged renamer here with the option
to use even regex, with saveable user-defined presets. Even if
that's a little far-fetched (but why should that be in this age
of convergence?
readymade presets like:UPPERCASE (SELECTED) ---- selected words/letters only
UPPERCASE ALL
lowercase (selected)
lowercase all
Title Case All ---- all first letter capital
Title Case as Defined ---- ignore some user-defined words
Remove
Replace
Swap ---- How I want a highly customisable swap function!
...etc.
could be provided as quick-reach kits.
These, together with the current history/retention setup
would really make SS so much more handy, esp for renaming freaks.
