I have a JPEG file from Vivotek IP camera which is not property viewable by PictView plugin, I believe it's some rare JPEG color space (or maybe even not a baseline JPEG), but it's shown by Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, mspaint but not PictView plugin.
Here goes the file: http://alax.info/blog/wp-content/upload ... ame001.jpg

Re: PictView plugin and JPEG files
Indeed, it has weird form, where each color is compressed separately and not interleaved, as it is common in baseline JPEGs. For now, the next version of PictView and Salamander will correctly read entire 1st color channel, i.e. it will display the image as grayscale.Esq wrote:I have a JPEG file from Vivotek IP camera which is not property viewable by PictView plugin, I believe it's some rare JPEG color space (or maybe even not a baseline JPEG), but it's shown by Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, mspaint but not PictView plugin.
