Minimize to tray and link to desktop

I have set the Salamander to minimize to tray. When restored but hidden by another window, clicking the task will minimize it. Couldn't that be changed so that the click would make it the topmost window instead (and when topmost it would minimize to tray)?

I really need a shortcut to the "desktop". What I'm looking for is something like the "my documents" shortcut ";". I know the hotpaths' but they are tied up with other paths.

x] Please, create different threads for each request.
1] Most of things linked to the taskbar or behaviour of the windows are handled by Windows and there's little a programmer can change.

Just wanted to mention that my AS /Win does behave as expected, not as hrc experiences. So it's probably caused by some Windows addition or mybe by a different version of Windows itself. I keep using WinXP Pro.

Hmm, my Windows behave like expected, too. Few questions for hrc:
1] Does AS do this repeatedly? I mean, wasn't it only one-time issue?
2] Does this happen only in combination with some other application in particular?
3] Have you made some unstandard modifications to your system? May this cause some application you installed? Anyway, what version of Windows do you have?
