Improved Filter and Hide function

Post by Stefan »

Is there a quick way to disable
the "filter" and the "hide" option ?

I search for an short cut to see all files again,
i.e. enable
- "(.)Do not use filter"
and
- "Show hidden names"
at ones by an short cut.

Or can we give short cut at our self to this functions in future ?

At most i needed often an option to disable the Filter quickly.

Even nicer would be a "toggle" function between

Code: Select all

- Use Filter (don't show unwanted files)
and
- hide unselected name
&&

Code: Select all

- "(.)Do not use filter" (show all files)
and
- "Show hidden names"

Are ther more suggestions on that options ?

For toggle hide/show use Ctrl+H (I hope) ;)

For toggling filter it's not so easy, but you can use:
Ctrl-F12, Alt-D, Enter (disabled)
Ctrl-F12, start typing, Enter (enabled)

I did it my way:
- Add the Filter button to both panel toolbars
- three mouse-clicks to toggle the filter
Kind regards, KNUT

To disable filter I type * as filter rather than select "disabled" :D (easier/faster than click or press Alt+D)
Works the same way, except you see a "*" where the current filter is usually displayed, but it is not a problem I think-
