Why is it that the icons shown in the browse window are different when Salamander has the focus and when it doesn't? For an explanation see the attachments.

What do you mean with "has focus"? What you need to do to get correct icons displayed?

I mean 'has focus' when the title bar is blue, the window is active.
I mean 'no focus' when the title bar is grey, another window is active.

We call it Active panel:

When you activate the inactive panel, are "correct" icons displayed?

Please try to describe us step by step how to reproduce the problem, I'm lost now...

What Windows version are you using?

As I understand it from Joker'f first and secon post, she/he is not talking about active and inavtive pannel, but is refering to the main window. Either Altap Salamander is the forground application, or some other applicataion is in the foreground and therefore some other window has the input focus.

You are right, my mistake :)

The question is: when the main window becomes active/inactive, are also correct/incorrect icons displayed? I mean, when do they change?

It happens right away. I have a Salamander window open and a IE window right next to it. When I activate (click in) the IE window the icons directly change. When I return the focus to Salamander they change back again.

Sorry for the late response.

Do you use SoftGrid, SandboxIE or any other kind of virtualisation technique?

Does the icon change happen on all your drives, or just on some particular one? How are your disk drives joined to the system (IDE, SATA, NAS ...)? What filesystem is affected?

Do you have installed any software which manipulates icons (overlays, transparency, floating effects, animation, true file format detection ...)?

Maybe I'd best ship you my system, don't you think?

So Joker, why are we wasting our time???

Btw, the PNG is much better choice than JPG for application screenshots. Try it ;-)
