RC3 SalOpen Problem

Sorry to report this so late in the cycle.

I customarily have the "Open files with salopen.exe" option in the General page enabled. With RC3 and that option enabled, double-clicking a file shows a short hour glass, then nothing more.

Disabling "Open files with salopen.exe" restores proper behavior.

RC3 now displays an endlessly looping memory address alert when attempting close. I have to use Taskmanager to purge the message

It's possible I have a system problem not related to Salamander. Will keep you informed!

Further update...

I ended up having to do the following to fix the issue:

Uninstall all versions of Salamander
Remove their folders (I saved config.reg and keys elsewhere)
Delete all references in Registry (lots and lots of those!)
Reboot
Install RC3
Start RC3
>Salamander instantly exits but no error alert
Restart RC3
>Salamander starts normally in default mode
Exit Salamander
>Memory error, need Task Manager to purge Salamander
Copy saved (RC3) config.reg (and keys) into Salamander folder(s)
Start Salamander
Rename config.reg
Save Config
Exit Salamander
>No error

Now Salamander behavior is back to normal. (Whew!)
