I understand that you are planning to add SVN and CVS overlay icon support in the next version as listed on your roadmap:
* Icon overlays (TortoiseCVS, TortoiseSVN).
I beg of you to consider it a high priority to be added to the first beta! Going back and forth using explorer is painful after using SS since it's freeware versions!
Keep up the great work!
Thanks,
Derek
SVN Support Elevated Please
dprice, you are mistaken concerning the license of Servant Salamander. The freeware version is not under developpement, the version being developped is not freeware. There's a 30 day evaluation license granted to you for free. Have a look at the purchase page and the License Agreement for Servant Salamander 2.0
I was not mistaken - I just worded the post poorly. I meant to say that I've been using SS since it was freeware as I am a happily paying customer. I guess I've probably been using SS for 4+ years (can't remember when I first download v1).
It's such a bummer have to open Explorer to *only* view the icons to see the status of the repository. I know I can use the SVN repository tools in SS, but the visual icons are so much easier to interpret.
Thanks,
Derek

Can I add my voice to the request for SVN Overlay Icons support to be added asap. I have just started to use SVN and although the shell extension menus work fine, getting status info is not possible. Since I started using SS I have developed a real dislike of Windows Explorer and rarley use it.
SS is great.

Hello everyone!
I never had a need to come here from one simple reason - Salamander worked like a charm, it had all the possibilites I could have ever wanted, built on the best tool ever - norton commander. Perfect! Well, almost perfect, since I installed TortoiseSVN
.
So, I came here to leave my voice for icon overlays asap. I always hated Windows Explorer (does anyone uses it at all?) and now I hate it even more, since I have to start it just to see svn icons
.
Just don't spoil something in ver 3.0
.

Mario Blataric
