Integrated (F4) Text Editor

Post by povesteam »

There is a very good and fast text editor - Notepad2 (http://www.flos-freeware.ch/notepad2.html)
Could you make this be Salamander's?
I know it can be configured as an external editor for everything... but it would be good if you can include it, because it's much better than the microsoft notepad.
Good work guys :P

KNUT for more info you can look at this
http://www.flos-freeware.ch/txt/notepad2.txt

I thought Altap was gonna rewrite their own text editor, anyway if you browse the threads some people already mentioned different editors such as scite, pspad, notepad++ etc.. I don't see the advantages of notepad2 versus these tools. Using F4 as external editor works well so i don't know why Altap should implement this.

Yes, the editor looks like low-priority task.

I agree with KNUT and omega. ALTAP should focus on the core. There are too many good freeware editors available already. Everybody can link his/her favorite editor to Sala without a problem.

+1
I linked different editors, not one, (and alternative viewers too).
BTW, SS native text editor can be realized as a plugin. Just wait for SDK.
My deepest apologies for my awful English.
