Configuring ftp client for use through ftp-proxy

Post by Guest »

Hi
At work there is a ftp-proxy installed. How must I configure the connection to work. I only know the option for FileZilla:
USER RemoteID@Remotehost
Or WSftp:
USER with no logon

What is the correct option in SS?

Thank you

Go to menu Options > Plugin Configuration > FTP Client, Defaults tab, click on Add button, it opens Add Proxy Server dialog. Fill in name for your proxy server (completely your choice), keep type of proxy server USER user@host:port, enter Address of your proxy server (IP or name). If you have to login to your proxy server, specify username to User name editbox (you will be prompted for password when you open FTP connection). Or if you trust your computer is safe place, you can specify password to Password editbox + select Save password checkbox (it is not secure). Then click OK to close Add Proxy Server dialog and again OK to close Configuration dialog.

Added proxy server will be set as default, so FTP Client will use it for all connections. You can change Proxy server (if you don't want to use the default, e.g. for intranet servers) for any connection in Advanced Options in Connect to FTP Server dialog.
