PictViewer PNG Fix Request

Post by grymmjack »

I realize that the PictViewer plugin is third party so perhaps the mods could forward this request onto their affiliate.

Currently PNG alpha channels are not shown properly. They show up as a garbled bit of blocks of colors. It would be excellent if this was fixed to actually be real transparency. GIF works fine, just PNG's seem to give problems.

Coincidentally this question was answered yesterday on czech forum by PictView plugin developer Jan Patera. Support for alpha channel in 32b bitmaps is planned.

Implemented for thumbnails in panels. Alpha channel of 32bit .PiNGs and .ICOns is now processed when creating thumbnails.

Thank you for the prompt implementation Jan. I love your plugin. I would also ask since you created eroica, how much it would cost for fully functionaly version of plugin for SS?

This works great for the panel itself, but the pictviewer plugin window when viewing images still exhibits the old behaviors. Is this also going to be fixed?
