Total hang when listing network drive

The app (most recent beta) lists network drive Z: and hangs completely. There's probably a network problem/issue. The listing must be done in a separate thread

Is Z: actually accessible?
Are you able to open Z: in Windows Explorer?

If it is not, then it might not be abnormal for Salamander to hang until the attempt to connect times out.

During the hang, does hitting the ESC key help to abort the attempted connect?

The drive is not available. It's NOT normal to freeze the whole program for 20-30 seconds.

I agree that it would be better to do the listing in a separate thread.

Have you tried pressing Escape (maybe twice)?
