Invalid Hot Path in Windows 7

Post by DavidDe »

Hi all,
I have Salamander 2.54 installed on Windows 7. I am attempting to set a hot path for Desktop folder but Salamander does not accept the folder path when pressing Control+Shift+[digit]. When attempting to copy and paste the path C:\users\myname\desktop manually in the hot paths list Salamander shows message that the hot path is not valid.
Please advise me for this

Are you entering the path into the Path field under the list? The list itself shows labels, not necessarily paths.

The path field is disabled for empty hot path list items.
Anyway my problem is now solved. The "Control+Shift+Number" worked only after I tried to assigned the hot path by right-clicking the window caption bar and selecting Assign Hot Path option from the context menu. It may be a bug.

If you can reproduce described problem, please show screenshot of Options > Configuration > Hot Paths window and message about invalid path.

I am attempting to reproduce the problem, but it seems I have to reinstall Salamander to again face with it, perhaps. I will provide you with snapshots if the problem comes back.
