Am I missing something? This has been my major pet peeve with Salamander (which is my favorite and most useful system tool!).
Example:
1. Create a directory and put a PDF in it.
2. Double click (or press ENTER) on the PDF to launch PDF reader app.
3. Exit PDF Reader so that nothing should have a handle to anything in the directory.
4. Attempt to delete directory in Servant Salamander.
Result:
Unable to delete the directory since Salamander has locked the directory. WhoLockMe proves that. The only way to delete the directory is to exit Servant Salamander.
Expected:
I should be able to delete the directory.

I repeated your procedure:msaxer wrote: 1. Create a directory and put a PDF in it.

3. Exit PDF Reader so that nothing should have a handle to anything in the directory.
4. Attempt to delete directory in Servant Salamander.
Result:
I was able to delete the directory without any problem. I have last beta 11 of SS.
So, what versions of SS and Acrobat Reader do you have? What OS, file system, etc.?

Thank you, thank you, thank you! That did the trick.Jan Rysavy wrote: Please follow this link http://www.altap.cz/salam_en/faulty_she ... sions.html and let us know...
I had the RJHExtensions shell extension installed. After removing it and installing Clipboard Path, the only functionality I regularly used in RJHExtensions, everything works as expected.
To the rest of you that replied - thanks for confirming that it was something specific with my system.

Hi,
if you use only SS instead of Windows Explorer you can forgot the Clipboard Path shell extension because SS already have this (and better) functionality
:
Copy Path + Name ...... [Alt] + [Insert]
Copy Path only ............ [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Insert]
Copy Filename only ....... [Alt] + [Shift] + [Insert]
Copy UNC Path + Name ... [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [Insert]
- all in Edit menu
