Love this File manager.
I cannot get Unrar to show up on the plug-in menu.
It says it loaded, but the box is grayed out for it to show.
Any suggestions?
Using 2.53

Hi, not all plugin are presented in the Plugins menu. Just focus your .RAR file in the panel and press Enter. It will be opened using the UnRAR plugin.

Re: Unrar Plug in
I am afraid only the plugins having own menu entries (always) appear in the Plugins menu and (eventually) in the Plugin toolbar. UnRAR doesn't seem to offer any special functionality via menu (e.g. not even archive testing, unlike Zip or 7-Zip).Maxdout38 wrote:I cannot get Unrar to show up on the plug-in menu.
If you are referring to "Show UnRAR icon in Plugin bar" in the Plugins Manager, then it is enabled only when the plugin does offer a menu....Maxdout38 wrote:It says it loaded, but the box is grayed out for it to show.
Re: Unrar Plug in
I have WinRar installed on my computer.Jan Rysavy wrote:Hi, not all plugin are presented in the Plugins menu. Just focus your .RAR file in the panel and press Enter. It will be opened using the UnRAR plugin.
If I right click with the mouse, I have the Winrar options
I will be installing on a new computer (Windows 7) and will not have Winrar.
If I click on the .rar file, how do I use the plug-in? Not sure by what you mean by 'focus'. I can hit enter on the rar file and shows me the files. I do not know how to extract using the plug in.
Thanks
Re: Unrar Plug in
There is nothing special you should have to do.
Clicking on the .rar should open it.
Once the archive has opened, select the file(s) you want, then F5 to copy them out.

Re: Unrar Plug in
You can also unpack the rar archive by using the Files | Unpack menu item or it's shortcut Alt-F9 while the archive file is focused. By using this method you can even unrar selfextracting files or other files with non-standard extensions. You will have to select the proper unarchiver, though, if the extension is not registered with the plugin. (See Options | Configuration... | Archivers | Unpackers in Unpack Dialog Box; see also settings in the Archivers parent item).
