Sorting Found Files and Directories

I noticed that in the 2.53 release version, the sorting behavior changed in the Find window. When sorting on Path, files and directories are now sorted separately. I'm sorry, but I really hate that. I don't understand why/when this would be useful.
Of course it's the only thing to do if sorting on Size. And Salamander 2.52 and before already separated files from directories when sorting on Date/Time. I would have rather seen that last one to change.
Is it possible to make the separating files/directories configurable?
And while at that, allow inverting the order (just like in the panels)?

Am I the only one using Find often enough to notice this?

Would be one Find option "View > Separate directories and files" enough? One option for all sorting modes (name, path, date, size)?
