Automation in Find Files and Directories

Post by mdruiter »

I tried Ctrl+Shift+A for automation on a selection of files in the Find Files and Directories. But it did not do anything. :(
I would swear I have used it there successfully some time ago. What am I doing wrong? :?

Use the Ctrl+A (Select All) shortcut instead.

Jan, I'm not sure you understand what I mean. My fault.

Second try:
In the list of found files (and directories), I selected some. To the selected files, I wanted to apply some automation command like I can in the panels using Ctrl+Shift+A (Open Script Menu). In this case Make List, as I needed the modification date/time of all selected files.
I remember having used Automation in the Find Files and Directories list in a prebuild version, but I can be wrong.

Is Automation supposed to work at all in the Find Files and Directories list?
If so, how? If not... why not? :D

Automation is not supported in the Find window. It needs to run in the main thread / Main Window.

Ok, I must have been mistaken. Too bad.
Please consider this a feature request then.
