Hi, it is strange, we don't know about changes in the Copy routine that can cause slowdown between 2.51 and 2.52.

Could you please measure AS 2.51 and 2.52 (on exactly same files and directories) and post results here?
What exactly is your network drive? (Windows Share, Linux / Samba, VPN, etc.)

If I had to guess, both this & AS 2.52 feels much slower than 2.51 may be attributable (& perhaps only in appearance?) to:

# Panel contents are refreshed even if Salamander's window is not active.

Seems to me, & I really haven't put my finger on it, that at times there are (unexpected - at least compared to earlier versions) updates to the panel (where in the past the panel would not change until it was given focus).
