Whenever I copy from one directory to another, I want to have the option, “overwrite older files and do not ask,” which is selected in the copy files dialog box, invoked. However, when I exit, I get a message that my configuration is being saved, but it does not seem to be, so every time I copy I have to use the option and select it again. I have even tried using the “save configuration” command instead of having it occur on exiting. Nothing seems to work. When I open the configuration box, the option is checked, also, but, again, does not seem to be working. Is there something I am supposed to be doing to avoid having to repeat this “options” and check the box procedure all the time?

It isn't faster and better always. When copying from and to different media, it's faster to have the processes go simultaneously. E.g. I copy a movie from a DVD to harddisk and I want to copy something from my other harddisk to a flash drive - then it's not better to wait, because the operations don't interfere.
