Copy path as text - minor flaw

Post by hrc »

Using the <shift+ctrl+insert> shortcut I may have discovered what I expect is a minor flaw.

If I select a path and click on a file or directory before pressing <shift+ctrl+insert>, the path and filename is copied onto the clipboard (as it should).
Now select another path and press <shift+ctrl+insert> again. The path copied previously isn't owerwritten - and it won't until a file or directory is selected before the <shift+ctrl+insert>.

More logically it should copy the new path without the filename.

Try to open the Edit menu (before you press Ctrl+Shift+Insert), you will see only Copy Path as Text (Ctrl+Alt+Insert) is enabled in this case, because it doesn't depend on focused name.

Selected names are ignored for "Copy * as Text" functions. The focused name is used instead. More information:

Copy * as Text:

Focusing name:

Selecting name:
http://www.altap.cz/salam_en/help/salam ... select.htm

To copy list of selected names to Clipboard, please use Commands > Make File List or Edit > Advanced > Save Selection command.

Wrong shortcut used. How could I even consider you making an error?
