Wrong, 1.000.000 bytes isn't 1 MB.
But yeah i would like to vote for "KB/MB/GB" display in the content information line as well.

content information line only display selected file(s) in bytes. What Josip wants is customizable size display, like KB/MB/GB If you select files + dirs you won't be able to see the total size of the selection. It will only show you how many files/dirs are selected. You will need to right click on i...

Check the configuration in winzip. start-up folder * system default * last open archive * folder [textbox] But for 2 different folder windows in this case. Thanks Jiri.
Someone posted this request in an earlier post with topic tree view.
He suggested it displaying all files in the 2nd panel. Like you guys i prefer displaying everything in 1 panel so you can still drag and drop using the 2nd panel.

i created a small jpg for this idea. Anyone here wants to put it online? i don't have webspace. Let me know and i'll mail it to you. I think this feature request is worth to build inside SS. Though i wouldn't want to use it on the C root since windows has lots of dirs and thousands of files. Not to ...

Competition often lead to improvements. SS hardly have any worthy competitors and still ALTAP developers continue to improve it's wonderful tool leaving the others far behind. The roadmap, the possibility to create our own plugins once SDK is ready plus useful ideas shared among users in this forum ...

I created a new mask *.txt and configured in the command box to choose a different external editor. After saving this configuration i restarted SS but still when i open a txt file Notepad seems to appear instead the other editor.

Any clues?

configuring SS

hi,

Is there a way i can open txt files very fast in SS. Cause notepad is very slow here, taking about 15 sec to open.

Plus how do you configure SS to change an external editor instead of using notepad?

This idea is interesting, never encountered this filter before. In DOS you can see the filter options are almost the same found in SS and other tools and none of them have the possibility to display a list of files without the parent or subdirs. This can be handy if you have loads of subdirs and you...
