Unfortunately it is not proper solution, just ugly hack. Next Salamander update with new RTL will break it. We should find the source of this problem and solve it.

does salmon also start "as administrator" when starting salamander in elevated mode? AFAIK environment variables could be diffrent ...

For some reasons my post did not show up... I have the same problem BUT on Win 8 Pro 64 bit with UAC deactivated and try to run Salamander "as administrator". When running NOT as administrator all is fine. Strange. Reinstall did not solve t. It's the same for 32 bit and 64 bit Salamander. I tried ...

I have the same problem. In Win 8 but with deactivated UAC AND while running "As Administrator". When running "normal" it works.

Reinstall did not fix it.
