Hi everyone,
I wondered, is there a way to launch the 64-bit version of cmd.exe from AS (x86) using its Command Shell command and/or the Command Line (Toolbar)?
One way might be to alter the ComSpec environment variable to point to %SystemRoot%\sysnative\cmd.exe. What potential risks or incompatibilities would one suffer if done for AS only? if done system global?
Are there any other options (appart from using the x64 version of AS, of course)?
x64 command line from AS x86
Re: x64 command line from AS x86
I can't think of any problem that would affect Salamander itself, but the environment will be inherited by child processes, so that could be a problem if you execute some application that uses the command line interpreter.SvA wrote:What potential risks or incompatibilities would one suffer if done for AS only?
How about a user menu item?SvA wrote:Are there any other options (appart from using the x64 version of AS, of course)?
