Hi,

After creating a new folder (or unpacking an archive) the folder tree updates itself automatically according to the applied sort specification (by name, by date etc.).

Now, sometimes this is a nice thing to have, but most of the time iI just prefer for the newly created folder or unzipped archive to be added to the end of the tree and updated after an explicit refresh. That allows me to unzip an archive create a folder and quickly select the unzipped files and move them into the folder. Depending on the naming scheme of folders and files it can be a cumbersome process to select all the files to move because they are automatically sorted and soemetimes mixed with other files.

Is there any way to turn the automatic update feature off? If not...feature request.

Idea: you can copy/move files to nonexisting directory. Select files, choose the Copy/Move command, and enter "newdir\" (without quotes).
You can even specify nested directories: "newdir\nested1\nested2\".

Another idea: use both panels. One for destination (created folder), second as source (unpacked and selected files).

Another idea (one panel solution): after you create the directory, copy it to Clipboard (Alt+Insert). Then unpack archive, select files you need, choose the Copy/Move command and paste prepared path from Clipboard.
