Altap Salamander 3.02 (x64) - PictView does not open any *.bmp files: error message says "Could not open file ***.BMP; Could not load PictView process".
After that, that same message appears when trying to open any picture (jpg, gif etc.) - and when exiting Salamander there is a message about error report.
After exiting Salamander and starting it again, PictView loads any pictures fine - except BMP, of course.

x86 version works fine, though.

I'm not able to reproduce this problem. What Windows version do you use?

I am on Windows 7 x64. Have you received my crash report sent by mail?
I will attach another one here.

I tried installing older 3.0 x64 version - no, the error is still there
P.S. Not only trying to open *.bmp files, but an attempt to capture a screen leads to that crash of PictView process as well.

Yuriy, I will look at this problem, thank you for bug reports. Could you please install also Altap Salamander 3.02 x86 and try to view BMP there? Would it crash too?

Jan Rysavy, as I have said in the first message here, Salamander 3.02 x86 works fine, no errors without that salpvenv.exe!

Well, you know what? If I change the language of Salamander to English (I tried also French and Czech) then *.bmp viewing works fine!
And manually deleting russian.slg from PictView directory solves the problem as well even if the program and other plugins are still in Russian.

I hope this information will help you correct the error now that we know the reason...

By the way, can anyone reproduce the problem by switching Salamander to Russian?

It doesn't work for me. What does the BMP filename look like? Does it contain some Russian characters? Can you reproduce this problem for example with test.bmp?

I just reproduced this crash with test.bmp and Russian language! Thank you for finding out the language condition, good catch...

Problem will be fixed in Altap Salamander 3.03. Thank you for finding it out.
