Hi,

is there any function similar to totalcmd's Branch View? (CTRL+B). It shows all files in current directory and in subdirectories at once in one panel.

Thanks in advance
M.

If you think the Folders and Files tree, so this isn't currently implemented. But it's on Roadmap.

But you can't use all the functions normally available in panel, can you?

That is why I vote for this feature!

Branch View?
Is this the posibility to list all search results in a panel?
I only know such a feature from WindowsCommander (now TotalCommander)
If so, this would be really nice to have in SS.

As I said, it's on Roadmap.

Branch View (Total Commander) or Flat View (Dopus), and also in other file managers, is a useful feature for looking at the contents of several sub-directories at the same time. Ctrl+F will do a similar function, but not in a very convenient display. I also vote for this feature to be added to Servant Salamander. I don't see it mentioned on the Roadmap, are we talking about two different features? Branch view is not the same as Tree view.

Hoping for this function also.

I call it the "recurse subfolders" mode. Shows all files that match the filter criteria in the current folder and below. Great for feeding to the multi-rename tool.

Of course, should allow all customary file functions... delete, rename, copy, move, etc, plus all customary views... detail, thumbnails, etc.

i created a small jpg for this idea. Anyone here wants to put it online? i don't have webspace. Let me know and i'll mail it to you.

I think this feature request is worth to build inside SS. Though i wouldn't want to use it on the C root since windows has lots of dirs and thousands of files.
Not to mention all files inside the program files dir.

Thanks Jiri.
Someone posted this request in an earlier post with topic tree view.
He suggested it displaying all files in the 2nd panel. Like you guys i prefer displaying everything in 1 panel so you can still drag and drop using the 2nd panel.

Yeah. On 1st panel Tree View (or something like this) and on 2nd something else (i.e. normal view).

I vote too. :)
