Icons on Change Drive button in Directory Line missing

On my Notebook, no drive icons on Change Drive button in Directory Line are displayed. Drive icons display ok on this button's selection menue and on the Drive Bar.

My desktop machine does not show this problem. Both machines are set up alike: WinXP SP2, no visual tweaking beyond settings available through standard Windows Display control pannel settings and MS's TweakUI.

I tried to reset icon cache through TweakUI and reseting SS's configuration by deleting the registry settings (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Altap\Servant Salamander 2.5 beta 11). This brought about no change.

Does anyone experience the same or have any idea how tu cure? Thanks.

Please email us the Bug Report (Help > Report a Bug). Thank you.

Try to add more buttons to the Drive Bar (Options > Customize > Left{Right} Panel Toolbar).

Try to turn on Drive Bar (Options > Show > Drive Bar).

Could you post a screenshot, for example using http://www.imageshack.us/ ?

Thank you for your reply, Jan.

I prepaired a Bug Report and mailed it.

I also tried your suggestions, but no change was brought about. Other icons in the Pannel Toolbars show up just as expected.

Here comes a screen shot:

Anybody else has the same problem?

It is probably related to Intel video card: Intel(R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller

I made another interesting find today.
I had switched off my antivirus program for a certain task, then started SS. The icons showed up! So I thought I had found the offender. However, sadly, I cannot repeat the experience. On the other hand this proves: my system is capable to display them.

I will now try to update my Graphics driver

After installing the most recent display driver the flaw is gone.

Thank you for pointing me to this.
