When I use "Find Files" and the same time using AS do to other things like directory browsing, AS seems to get 'saggy' and unresponsive. The refresh is very slow and navigating too. Don't have the same behavior with AS2.54.
Is it because of Stress Mode or a threading problem?

Eric, this is strange, we didn't see such problem. Please check memory usage in the Task Manager, you can also turn on additional columns there to show handles count, etc. Maybe you will see some suspicious growing number when comparing to 2.54 version?
What about the PB87 x86, could you please try it? (The stress test mode is in x64 build only.)

Re: PB87 x64: "Find Files" makes AS unresponsive
Did some more tests.
I don't see a huge difference between AS2.54 and AS3 in handles, threads or memory usage. One difference is that DEP is on for x64.
To be more specific: with unresponsive I mean that I see the refresh of the window when I navigate.
I'm still able to use AS.
Usually after selecting a new folder, the files are shown immediately, but now I see how the lines are build up.
And you see it better, when "Find files" is used over the network like a UNC path.

Have you tested the 32-bit version of the beta?
Ελληνικά rulez.
Re: PB87 x64: "Find Files" makes AS unresponsive
This might not be the same issue, as i use 32-bit Salamander on a 32-bit windows Vista. I was searching files over a (rather slow) VPN-connection. Salamander became very slow. It took about 15 sec. to display about 20 line of files in the second panel showing the local disk (detailed view) after directory change.
I only used advanced date option to limit my search (within the last 2 days)
No resources I checked were exhausted during that time. Plenty of CPU, memory, network bandwith, local disk utilisation available.
