Right Pane Not Showing Files From Left Pane Folder

How do I get the right pane to display the files contained in the folder selected in the left pane? (the classic Windows Explorer view)

You don't. Although you can open the contents of the focused directory in the other panel using the Ctrl+Shift+Right shortcut. Also you can set the left panel to show only directories (using the |* filter) in Brief view mode and set the other to Icons view mode. That's the closest thing to your idea I can think of.
