When I'm cleaning up my directories, I frequently use Calculate Directory Sizes (Ctrl+Shift+F10) so I can see what's the biggest. Every time SS hits the System Volume Information directories, it gives me an error:

Error
Can't read directory "D:\System Volume Information".
(5) Access is denied.
OK/Cancel

I know this is going to happen every time, so I'd like a way to turn off that error dialog. I have to hit "OK" in it every time I want to calculate directory sizes.

It was irritating me too. I have NTFS, so solution was easy.

As a workaround select as administrator in SS directory "D:\System Volume Information" and press Ctrl+P (Directory Permissions). You will see here only System with full permissions, so just only add your user name of your standard limited account for read only access. Errors then will be gone.
