Kindly add sorting by file type header in find files. I am still using windows find files because it has column header of file type for sorting file in search result by file type. The current 2.53 beta version has name, path, size, date, time and attr (attribute) header only. It is not necessary that user can also search only one type of file, many time I need to search xls, doc, ppt files which has been modified during specified time or may be finding with including text in those file.

I'm afraid that Salamander isn't capable of proper searching of text inside Office documents.

Ether, Salamander can find files in word document. Only text in password protected word doc (or any other) can't be find as these files are already encrypted by password. Make sure that four option (hex mode,case-sensitive,whole words, regular expression) should be UN-CHECKED. I have also searched text inside excel (.xls) file too.

Ether, I think raheel99 meant sorting the results by file type.

Sorting by extension is available in panels and in Windows Find there is sorting by file type description, but there is no such sorting possible in Find window in Salamander. :(

Zarevak, I know that in panel there is option for sorting by extension, but as you mentioned already, I mean sorting of "find file" search result by file type.
