Altap Salamander Support Forums

I recently moved to a windows vista computer and the starting of salamander takes 20 seconds while under XP it was almost instantaneous. I tried with salamander 2.52 and 2.51f and is the same delay. I have also tried desactivating Norton360 and google desktop and stays slow

You can make a trace log using PROCESS MONITOR from sysinternals and post it here. Just make sure thatyou start the monitoring right before you start Salamander and stop it after salamander is on.

Please try to uninstall Norton 360. It seems to be related to this problem, see here.

I uninstalled norton 360 and salamander loads fast.
