Drag & Drop onto File Compare dialogue

I'd like to see the possibility to be able to drag & drop files from the main-file-browser-panels onto the "Compare Files" dialogue. It's frustrating to have to walk through some file-tree ("select first file" or "select second file") to pinpoint some file, while the file at-hand is right in front of you in some panel of Salamander.

Select 1 file in left panel, 1 file in right panel and start compare plugin. Focused/selected files will be used.

Raptor,

i'm aware of this functionality. But is does not always work and it especially does not work if both panels show the some directory. Besides that, drag & drop gives you the option to quickly pinpoint which files to compare AFTER you have openen the compare dialogue.

Yes, d&d functionality should help sometimes, but I'm always using method I wrote before. Select 2 files and compare. But this doesn't work when multiple files in panel are selected. If no file is selected - focused files are compared. If only 1 file in panel is selected, it is used as input for comparer.

I'd like this feature request - I use Drag & Drop very often and it is often the first file opening method in my programs ;)

BTW: There is an old Czech thread about adding more heurestics for automatic file selection in the File Compare dialog: File Comparator: výběr souborů při porovnávání složek 8)

It has been added for the next version of Salamander (AS2.52/AS2.52b2).
