Blocking the directories

Hi!
Windows has a "feature" -- if some file or directory is opened by some process, certain functions, as delete, rename, unmount volume are disabled.
Is it mutch programming effort and runtime overhead to do all Salamander panels non blocking, as they are on removable drives?
I sometimes have trouble deleting directories, if some of them are current in another instance of SS and unable to unmount USB harddrive for same reason.
Actually, it'd be nice, if SS coud detect problems of this kind and help to find a process (and its window), which is blocking the operation.
Thanks.
