Hi

This issue occurs when attempting to write (create folder on target, copy file to target) to a shared compressed drive across a network. Returns error message "Error:(5) Access is denied".
Permissions are set correctly for the shared filesystem.
Windows Explorer carries out the operations correctly.

Salamander version: 2.5.1
Source machines tested: Windows XP64 Pro SP1, Windows XP Pro SP3
Target machine: Windows XP Pro SP3
Target filesystem: Compressed, unencrypted, NTFS.

This problem should be fixed in prepared version 2.52 beta 1, please test it and if you still can reproduce this problem, I'll look at it. 2.52 beta 1 will be released in week or two.

Since the original post I've looked into this and determined the cause the problem; a confluence of factors present in my machine environment. I suspect Salamander was behaving correctly given the circumstances.
