Hi!

Does anyone else have problems with 7z internal packer? Sometimes, actually quite often, the packer just stops at a certain file and the only way to abort is to kill salamander process. This has worked fine with previous versions of salamander, not sure when it started to behave like that. Very annoying. Any solution?

Yes, I do. I think it's problem in 7zip library in some thread synchronization. On some directory I can simulate it ever, but it "freezes" sometimes on 20%, sometimes on 30%, there's no clue.

AFAIR I've sent stack trace to Altap support.

So is this issue being addressed? Because the 7z plugin is pretty much unusable in its current state.

Seconded. I've tested the 7z patched build few days ago and the problem is gone, yep.

7-Zip plugin also runs nearly on 7-Zip application speed now, thanks to Jan Patera. Other optimizations and improvements are in the pipeline

Where did you get a patched version? Can we download it somewhere?
