7z-Plugin: Incorrect testing of archives

Hello,

the 7z-plugin provides a "Test Archive" function. This function seems to be faulty because it tends to tell that an archive is o.k. even if it is not. An example can be found in the attached file:

The archive "7ztest.zip" contains three files:
  • BGB.txt (original text-file)
    BGBok.7z (not corrupted 7z-file)
    BGBnot_ok.7z (corrupted 7z-file)
Testing "BGBnot_ok" yields the message "Archive is o.k." when tested with Plugin-version 1.13 (Salamander 2.51). You can easily see, that this is not true when you try to unpack it or when you try to have a look at it's content with the internal viewer.

Testing with the original 7z application correctly reports an error.

Hello Altap-Team,

I'm sure that there are more important tasks for you than fixing the 7z-plugin. But it would be nice if you could simply confirm that this is a bug that doesn't appear on my system only (WinXP Home, SP2 with recent updates).

Best wishes

I'm sorry for the late reply. Indeed, the problem was in the 7-zip plugin and has been fixed for the next version of Altap Salamander (2.52).
