Hi.
The XnView Shell Extension
http://pagesperso-orange.fr/pierre.g/xnview/enhome.html
under Salamander 2.52 does not bring up the preview window when I right-click on a picture file i.e. a JPG file.
This works well in Explorer, but I'm trying to move away from that as far as I can.
Anyone knows how to get this working. I have not figured out what's wrong.
Kind Regards,
Phoebe.

Hi postbux,
can you please check if the XnView Shell Extension works in Open/Save dialogs of other programs (MS Word, Notepad, ...)? Some shell extensions check the process and disable themselves under non-explorer ones.

Thx zarevak,
Tried it within the save dialog of Notepad, Notepad++ and Open Office Writer and works as intended.
Also downloaded and installed the current trial version of Total Commander and works there too.
Regards,
Pb.

Right now we are preparing version 2.51 for release. Version 2.52 doesn't exist.

Sorry for the incorrect version number, but any help for the problem I mentioned in the first place?
Also, when trying to connect to "webdisk" in Network Neighborhood" (Change Drive to a Network Path") I get a message "Error Changing Directory - Empty Name has no sense here". Annoying as this works fine with Explorer.
Is posting in this forum the correct way to get assistance or do I need to do something else. Or is support only given to die-hard fans who do not
need it anyway

. ?
I assume that Altap Salamander is supposed to be a full featured alternative (and more!) to Explorer or am I wrong?
Regards,
Phoebe.

Isn't that off topic? better start a new thread about webdisk.
Oh yeah you are wrong, it's not a fully featured replacement of explorer yet since it still doesn't support some features. But you are on the right place to ask for support

What version of Windows are you using?
Could you please show us screenshots of Windows Explorer and Altap Salamander context menu so we can see difference?
