EFS file copy/move on Vista

I use EFS encryption on my Vista box. When I want to copy an EFS file to a media, that cannot keep the file encrypted (network shares, FAT), the process stops with "Access Denied" error.

The reason for this is, that Vista enforces encryption for normal CopyFile operation and returns Access denied.

When I use Windows Explorer to copy the encrypted files, it asks me to allow the copy, correctly.

But Salám doesn't do it and just errors out.

At first sorry for delay with answer, this post was somehow forgotten (unintentionally). I have tried this with version 2.51 and cannot reproduce it (it copies to not-encrypted file without any error). Please send us more details on how to reproduce it.

Send me screenshot of Drive Info dialog (Ctrl+F1) for that network path. Especialy I'm interested in file system name and if file system flags contain 'supports the Encrypted File System (EFS)'.

I tested on Vista to copy encrypted file to FAT partition on W2K server and it works well. Any other ideas?
