Save settings when they are changed?

...instead of at exit. Please...
I just had a crash, or rather a freeze, the first time I used Servant in a long while (after a reinstall of Windows) - all the customization I had been working on for the last quarter was lost because I had to shut the process down.
Each individual setting should be saved to the registry instantly instead of waiting for the user to exit or save the settings manually.
Further information on the specific bug:
I was standing in a directory with lots of files in it, viewing in thumbnails mode, and decided to go up to the parent folder. I had these options on:
