Undeleting files problem

I have the following problem:

When I delete a file using DEL (into the Rec. bin) and then empty the Rec. bin, I can UDELETE the file without any problem.

But when I delete a file using Shift+DEL (bypassing the Rec. bin), I am not able to UNDELETE the file correctly (the original and the new file differ.)

What could be the problem?

Please look at http://www.altap.cz/salam_en/help/undel ... _intro.htm

Try to avoid writing data to your volume (try for example delete and recover file from your USB stick).
Btw, what does the Condition column say about your file?

When I delete a file on a logical drive with Shift+DEL and immediately start Undelete, the Condition is always Lost.

On USB stick it works OK.

So it looks like other process is writing to your local disk...

You can use SysInternal's FileMon to monitor disk access.
