ftp bugs

This week I had to send a file of 640 MB to DivX while troubleshooting some synchronisation problems. They gave me an ftp link which I tried to use to send them the file using Servant Salamander. However after 16 hours in which time SS had nearly sent the file about 10 times, I gave up and used Internet Explorer. For some reason Salamander kept breaking off the transfer before the end and restarting.
On the subject of the FTP client, it behaves slightly strangely in its interface. If it breaks the connection it warns you and asks you if you want to keep it. If you say no, ie break it, then when you move away from the ftp page, it asks you whether you want to break it again.

I need to see FTP log with at least one broken upload and your FTP Client configuration. FTP log: see menu Plugins > FTP Client > Show Logs, menu Log > Save All As. FTP configuration: export registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Altap\Servant Salamander 2.5 RC1\Plugins Configuration\FTP (clear your bookmarks if confidential).
If you can supply this, please send it to my email (petr.solin at altap.cz) or to forum. I'll try to find out what's wrong.
If anyone has the same problem, please let us know.
I have fixed similar problem in autumn 2005: server does not confirm successful transmition if transfer is longer than approx. 1.5 hour (probably some corruption of TCP socket). It's bypassed by additional testing file size after uploading. Maybe this is the same case, but this file size test failed.

The log is lost when you exist Salamander.
If you cannot obtain access to FTP server, it is impossible to examine this problem. The problem is probably on the FTP server side (or TCP/IP layer).
